Education System

Public Examinations in the U.S.
Secondary School - SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test)
Required for admission to private or independent schools. Includes writing, vocabulary, reading, and math, along with school records, activities, and interviews. There are 8 times of examinations of SSAT per year, in Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, Jun, Oct, Nov and Dec respectively.
University - SAT(Scholastic Assessment Test) / ACT (American College Test)
SAT scores are a crucial factor for high school students worldwide applying to American universities, somewhat like a "college entrance exam" in the US. If you are applying for your first year at a four-year American university, you must submit these scores. The SAT is offered 6-8 times a year, though the exact number of sessions may vary slightly. The Hong Kong Education Bureau is also an authorized SAT testing organization.
Besides the SAT, most American universities accept ACT scores. The ACT exam consists of four sections: English, Math, Reading, and Science. The final score is the average of these four sections. The ACT also includes a writing section, which is not mandatory; university admission requirements will specify whether this section is required.
Graduate School - GRE(Graduated Record Exam) / Graduated Management Admission Test
The GRE can be divided into General and Subject tests. Most colleges require the General test, while some require Subject test scores.
To apply to top business management schools, you need to provide GMAT scores. The GMAT has a higher logic difficulty, and most people think that the GMAT is more difficult than the GRE.
